My name is Arjumand Zubairi and I have been a family childcare provider for 22 years servicing the Silver Spring, Burtonsville and Spencerville area.
I have certain values instilled in me that I am proud to share and pass on to the children I teach. I not only try to teach, I try my best to inspire. I believe instilling core and fundamental values such as helping others, being patient, honest, sincere, reliable and hard working at a young age will only help foster the positive and confident development of a child’s social and personal behavior.
Teaching children has always been a part of my life and makes up a large part of who I am. Since I was young child myself, I would volunteer teaching neighborhood children how to read and write, especially for those who could not afford a proper education. I always knew that my road would lead to greater good and that one day my passion for teaching coupled with my love for children would drive my career choice.
My goals are quite simple. I strive to provide a safe, fun, intellectually stimulating and structured educational environment in order for children to build a solid foundation that will help them be successful in school and life as well.
I have achieved the Maryland Child Care Credential – level 4, by the Maryland State Department of Education, have participated in the Maryland Excels Program and am currently working on becoming accredited through the NAFCC.
Teaching is my joy, my passion and my purpose. It has been said that a “hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the kind of car I drove, or the type of house I lived in, but the world may be different, because I was important in the life of a child.” The children I teach are not only my students; rather they each become a part of my family.
